Halloween 2012
(Conner went treating with friends)
Here's when the Weber's knocked on doors for Trick or Treating:
The old lady who is dressed up in her knitted Halloween sweater, eagerly awaiting treaters. She's so tickled to see our kids, and lets them take as muc
h candy as they want.
The lady who offers Andelin extra pieces of candy for her Mom and Dad. Oh, no. That set the tone for the rest of the night, since Andelin refused to leave when only one piece of candy was given! "For my daddy?" She'd ask...every door.
The stingy old lady who counts each child at her door step BEFORE getting the candy, so she can give them exactly one per person.
The family who ALWAYS gives out a King Size cay bar! Oh, yea! (And we'll keep going every year!)
The old man who makes the kids PROVE it. "Oh, yea? Then what's your trick before I give you a treat?"
The raspy voiced, flem chocking lady who adores our two year old so much to tell us that if we ever need a babysitter, to call her. (NOT!)
Then, proceeds to give Andelin another piece of candy since she's do darn cute.
The overly excited couple who's all dressed up for Halloween, even though their not leaving their home, and only handing out candy.
The house/ yard that's over-the top- decorated for Halloween, that you have no idea where to look first. The owner proudly comes out to watch us look at her yard. She doesn't leave until we do.
The old lady who is sitting on her chair knitting in her living room, and doesn't hand out candy, but has her great grandson do the work.
(My favorite) The little girl who answers the door, dressed up as a pirate. She yells, "You can't come in!"
We reply, "What?."
She relents, with a long sigh..."OK".
Then, she grabs a handful of candy from a bucket, and throws them onto the porch for us to fend for ourselves.
