Gratitude.

 I have found that I lack gratitude in my life. I need an abundance of gratitude.

 I abruptly realized this months ago. Like a strike of lightening that hit unexpectedly, there is was, my eyes open fully to what I lacked.
 Sure, I'm thankful for things here and there. Every day in prayer, I thank God for the blessings He's given me.  But, in my heart I do not have "gratitude". 
 If I did, I would be a different person- a better person.

 Those who are humble, always have gratitude.  Those who are humble, and full of gratitude, are teachable.  They don't have hard hearts, and are willing to follow Heavenly Father in all things. 
 I realized true gratitude is something good!

 This is what I have come up with, for me, to have gratitude become a part of me:

1} Think positive in all things.

2} Look at all I have as a gift from God.

3} Serve others, including my children and husband, with a happy heart.

4} Thank people, and God, continuously. And really mean it.

5} Study about gratitude.


 As you may have read in previous posts, this year my #1 goal is to be positive in all things. 
I realized I can be positive all I want, but having gratitude, along with being positive, puts it all into action.
It causes me to be better, serve better, and love better.

 In a personal effort to develop more gratitude, I will be devoting some time with the scriptures on the subject.

New Testament Scriptures on Gratitude

Matt. 15:36
The Lord gave thanks to God before feeding more than four thousand people with seven loaves and a few small fishes.

Matt. 26:27-28
And before his crucifixion, Jesus took the cup at the Last Supper and again gave thanks to his Father.
